Claytons's
Updates!!!!!
It is September 12, 2006. Clayton went home from the hospital on Sept. 2 doing well. He started having problems again on the 5th so we brought him into the emergency and they said everything was good, but his doctor wanted to see him on the 7th. We took him in and she was so amazed that his xrays were very good, she prescribed Augmentin and sent him home. All weekend he was coughin up thick green mucus and had it running out of his nose. We kept watching him, but Sunday the 10th he got a fever and his heartrate was up. He was miserable, so off to the emergency we went again. They did another xray and said it looked good still, but it was up to us if we wanted to go home and wait it out and try another antibiotic or get admitted again. Joe decided to take him home and see how he does. Monday the 11th he woke up with a 98.6 fever (extremely high for him), his heartrate was up about 100 beats per minute and he was struggling. I called his doctor and she didn't have room to squeeze him in so she told us to take him to the ER and get him admitted. We brought him in and his was admitted on the 11th. They have done test on his urine, blood, and a test for RSV. The blood showed his CBC, his CPR, his hemoglobin, his white blood cells, and red blood cells being high. So they know there is an infection somewhere, but they can't find it. They are keeping a close eye on him and trying to figure out what is wrong. They also said that his kidney function is a little low, but not too bad, he is still urintaing good, but has to be cathed. I will keep updating on his  prognosis and write when I find things out.
Clayton is doing fine and is back home. He has shown us all that he is truly a little fighter and can get through anything. He has had some choking episodes where his oxygen levels drop, but he is staying strong.

Sept. 21, 2006
Clayton has gone to the doctor today for a check up. He has been choking and coughing up some green mucus. The doctor did an x-ray and Clayton has severe pneumonia on the right side. He got admitted to the hospital on 2 liters of oxygen. When he arrived at the hospital he was so cold that they couldn't get a temperature. They started him on an oral antibiotic called Omnicef. They are going to watch him and see how he does.

Sept. 25, 2006
Clayton has been doing a little better. They have turned his oxygen down to one liter today. He has dropped a few times, but comes right back up. He had blood work and an x-ray done this morning to check on how things are going. His blood showed that his CPR is alot more elevated then when he came in and the x-ray showed that he has aspiration pneumonia now on the left side. The doctors have decided to start him on IV antibiotic called Rocefin. I will keep posting as he continues to keep on fighting. Please say prayers that he will pull through this.

Clayton is doing much better today. His oxygen requirements have lowered to half a liter. He also had more blood work and another x-ray done this morning. The blood is much better, it is down to 1.5 instead of 5.9. Also the -xray shows alot of improvement. If he can continue to use less oxygen we will probably be able to go home. He is a true fighter and an amazing little angel to us all.

Clayton has turned the opposite way again today. He is now back on 2 liters of oxygen and he is running a temp. 5 degrees higher than his normal temp. They are planning on doing more test again, so I will post as soon as we find things out. Please keep praying for him, as we all hope he pulls through.

Sorry once again that it has take me awhile to update. We have been busy and just haven't had a chance to get in here. Clayton is doing much better then the last update. He improved over night and all the test they did came back looking good. He was out for about 5 days and went back in just for two days for some antibiotics through IV. He has been doing amazingly well except for a few times where he gets a high fever and he starts breathing very fast. He got a high fever and was having alot of trouble breathing last Friday the 20th so we took him to the ER and they said his x-ray hasn't looked better. He is so amazing and everyday we have with him makes me alot happier. I know his time is to become an angel can be anytime and it hurts to even think about it. Once he is gone my life will change dramatically since I have been in the same routine for almost 5 years now. Please keep praying and hope he stays strong for awhile.

Clayton was put in the hopsital yesterday with pneumonia. His O2 stats wouldn't stay above 90. We decided to take him to the ER and thats where we found out he had pneumonia. This morning we suctioned him out and got nothing but blood, it scared us. He was doing really good at 7:00 AM sitting at 100 percent for his oxygen level. At 8:30 AM they came in to do his CPT and he was doing good. At 8:33 they rolled him over to do the treatment on the other side and he quit breathing. He lost his battle to fight the devastating disease at 8:34 AM and took his brother's hand through the pearly gate to go have a huge Halloween party in heaven instead of being stuck in the hospital. We will all miss him so dearly and he will always be loved so much.

We Will Always love you so much Clayton and you made us all very proud of you for the fight that you had on this disease. We will Miss You Very Much!!!!!
